Smithville Dog Park
Smithville, MO is now home to a dog park near Smithville lake and maintained by Clay County Parks. A memorial bench for Cheri Thomas was donated by For Pet's Sake in 2021.
Megan's Paws and Claws
​Megan's Paws & Claws is a municipal dog pound run by the City of Smithville, MO that shelters lost pets until the are reunited with their owners.

Dogs By Debin
Dogs by Debin is a licensed non-profit group that helps needy dogs in the Kansas City area.
